This painting has taken me forever to complete, not because it was complicated but because I have so little time to paint these days!!! I leave it to the beholder to come up with an explanation to this scene. All I can say is that I saw that rope with the butterflies in a dream and knew I had to use it in some way. I used no reference for the guy. Watercolor and gouache.

Wow. That is such a beautiful painting. The choice of color is magnificent. I'd point out an error, but it seems I can't find any. Very nice work!
